Intensive Therapy

Our Intensive Therapy Program is our primary focus as we know it is where your child will see the greatest changes in the shortest amount of time. The intensive program is traditionally set for two hours a day, five days a week for three weeks. The three week length was chosen purposefully in order to allow your child to grow in endurance and allow their brain and body time to respond to the new and challenging exercises they are introduced to.

Dynamic Movement Intervention (DMI)

DMI is a specialized therapeutic technique performed by certified physical and occupational therapists to assist children in gaining and improving their gross motor skills. These exercises stimulate the automatic postural responses in order to help a child achieve and orient to upright positions and progress in developmental milestones. DMI assists with achieving neurological maturity and focuses on functional mobility so that your child can achieve the highest level of movement possible. Think of DMI as the missing puzzle piece that can be the game changer in helping your child achieve the next level.

Pediatric Physical Therapy

Physical Therapy specifically targets the gross motor skills that children need to achieve stability and mobility in order to explore their environments. Physical therapy lays the foundation for the development of both fine motor and oral motor skills through focusing on core strength and overall body awareness and control. This is why starting PT intervention as early as possible is key to helping children gain increasingly higher levels of functional movement and mobility. Despite your child’s current level of activity and skill, PT intervention is always appropriate to continue to progress strength, range of motion, balance, and endurance so that they can reach their highest potential.

Occupational Therapy

Occupational Therapy covers a wide level of skills such as fine motor skills, hand eye coordination, sensory processing skills, and activities of daily living, such as dressing and feeding. A child's job is to play and explore and OT focuses on helping them overcome barriers to allow for engagement with toys, peers, and their environment, empowering them to learn and grow from these interactions. Our OT services range from providing self coping/regulation skills, reflex integration, constraint induced movement therapy, SOS approach to feeding, working with AAC devices and switch adapted games and toys. Stay tuned for more information coming soon on each of these interventions!
